Many people don’t know that I received most of my firearms training from the most Senior Navy SEAL alive to date. We had a SEAL’s son join classes last night, so it was great finding some connection. Here is what he wrote in late last night:
“Hey Matt, I just wanted to email you since I didnt really get a chance to talk to you tonight. Your class was awesome and I have been around a lot of elite people and you guys sound like a broken record. The straight jabs (blast) is such a simple yet effective move. Violence of Acion is a huge weapon against someone. Make them question if they want to fight right away. Also, setting the tempo andf fighting on your terms are all great points. I loved the class and I will continue to bug you to get as much as I can because there is no point in doing anything unless you want to be the best.
That SEAL that tought you to shoot was Hershel Davis you said I think. My dad actually read that yellow sheet while I was at class and when I got home and told him you got your firearm instructions from a SEAL but forgot his name, he knew it from the print out. He is very good friends with Hershel and used to help him teach firearms at Great Lakes. Small world. If you still talk to Hershel ask him if he remembers xxx xxx (name witheld for security reasons). I remember Hershel in one of the first videos I watched about SEALs. He said “Some people think the 9mm is a small round, but they dont think that when we put 2 in their chest and 1 in their head”.
