DAY #28: What’s Next?

When I run, I listen to prerecordings of me stating my goals, visions, and plans on how to get there. I act like a coach to myself. Many times I have regular music playing in the background so I?m not yapping all of the time, but it is a good ?indirect? way of reviewing what I?m after.

After running I get in my mini JKD workout. I?m actually using the new video series I made called the Jeet Kune Do Matrix. Each week, I?m taking a unit lesson on the DVDs and training it in my basement. This week and last week I?ve been focusing on weapons, mainly with Carrenza. I?m currently using an axe handle to train my forearm muscles, and really giving my body mechanics one heck of a workout.

After the JKD workout, I move onto the mini Kettlebell workout. I call these workouts ?mini? because they rarely go more than 10-15 minutes. But the point is that I?m doing them every day, and have been now for about 6 weeks. It builds momentum and helps me tackle larger goals in a ?bite size? way. I love it.
